The Annapolis Valley Exhibition Society is excited to announce the winner of the 1st Annual Beckie Bruce Essay Contest, presented in memory of Rebecca “Beckie” Bruce, a daughter of local farmer John Bruce and his wife Trish, a local business owner. Beckie was a graduate of Middleton Regional High School and went on to a successful teaching career, often spending her summers working for and volunteering at the Annapolis Valley Exhibition among many other passions. Beckie passed away suddenly due to an acute illness in 2021 at the age of 29. The Bruce family selected the winning entry.
